Alm records 100th career hit at Mitchell

Polk County senior Gunnar Alm recorded his 100th career hit Friday during a doubleheader at Mitchell.

In the Wolverines’ 8-5 loss in the opening game, Alm finished 3-for-3 with two home runs and a double, scoring three runs, driving in two and also stealing a base. The double served as his 100th career hit.

Alm now has 101 career hits, leaving him eight hits short of the school career record of 109 set by Joel Booker.
