Polk County tuned up Monday for its Western Highlands Conference clash with co-leader Owen with a 9-0 victory over R-S Central in a non-conference match at Polk.
The Wolverines improved to 7-1 overall with the win. Polk County is scheduled to host Owen on Tuesday at 4 p.m. The two teams currently share the lead in the WHC standings.
Polk County’s top three players – Ryan Heider, Henry Heider and Henry Monts – all won their matches 10-0 to get the Wolverines off to a solid start in Monday’s win.
