Anna McFadden struck out nine batters and Tana Harris and Emily Prince powered Polk County Middle’s offense Monday in a 9-5 win over Apple Valley at Polk County Recreation Complex.
McFadden’s total included five batters caught looking at the third strike as the Wolverines improved to 2-4 with the win.

Harris finished 4-for-4 and scored three runs and Prince was 3-for-4 with three runs scored.
Having reached the midway point of the season, Polk County Middle now has a two-week break before its next game, the Wolverines set to host Brevard Middle on April 4.
