Wolverine bats explode to earn Polk Middle softball first victory of season
Polk County Middle exploded for 21 runs on Monday, rolling to its first win of the season with a 21-3 rout of Apple Valley in Blue Ridge Middle School Conference softball action in Hendersonville.
Anna McFadden pitched a complete game, striking out eight, to help lead the Wolverines to the win. Polk County is now 1-3 this season.
“We also hit the ball very well and only had one error,” said Polk Middle head coach Rachel McEntire. “I was really proud of the girls’ effort and it feels great to get our first win.”
The Wolverines host Hendersonville Middle on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
