Polk Middle soccer at home, baseball, softball to travel for playoff openers

Parings have been set for the first round of the Blue Ridge Conference baseball, softball and girls soccer playoffs.

In girls soccer, Polk County Middle will host Rugby on Monday at 4:30 p.m. The Wolverines are seeded fourth in the tournament and would travel to face No. 1 Hendersonville Middle on Wednesday with a win.

Polk Middle’s softball squad (3-8) earned the fourth seed in the East Division and will travel to Franklin to face undefeated Macon Middle, the top seed in the West, on Monday at 4:30 p.m.

The Wolverine baseball squad (1-11) will enter tournament play as the eighth seed and will travel Monday to Sylva to face top seed Smoky Mountain Middle (12-1) at 4:30 p.m.
