Polk Middle girls continue strong form, top Bethel Middle

Polk County Middle continued its pre-holiday form on Tuesday, rolling past Bethel Middle 30-17 in Blue Ridge Middle School Conference girls basketball action at Polk Middle.

The Wolverines improved to 6-1 with the win. Polk County will host Brevard Middle on Wednesday and will be looking to avenge a 24-20 loss to the Blue Devils earlier this season.

Rachael Davis finished with a game-high 12 points, eight of those in the second quarter, to lead a balanced Polk attack. Sara Muse had five points, Kristen Hall and Olivia Overholt each had four, Julia Griffin had three and Kaylin Jenkins added two points.

Griffin also grabbed nine rebounds for the Wolverines.
