Polk JVs battle East Henderson to seven-inning draw

Polk County’s junior varsity battled East Henderson to a 7-7 tie Wednesday in a non-conference baseball matchup in Flat Rock.

The game ended after seven innings, as JV teams traditionally play six innings plus one extra inning.

Jordan Bishop finished 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and two runs. Bishop also pitched four innings, giving up three earned runs and striking out four.

Isaac Edwards was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Polk (5-2-1), with Grant Wooten going 2-for-4 and Brad Marcello finishing 1-for-3 with two runs.

Jordan Searcy added 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief, striking out three, for the Wolverines, who travel to Mitchell on Friday.
