Owen eked out a 5-4 win Thursday over Polk County, clinching the Western Highlands Conference boys tennis championship in Swannanoa.
The Warhorses finish the regular season 11-0, 6-0 in WHC play. Polk ends its season at 12-3, 4-2.
As with the first meeting between the two teams, also a 5-4 Owen win, a doubles tiebreaker provided the final point. This time it came at No. 3 doubles, where Brandon Nightingale and Ethan Kadau posted a 9-8 (7-5) win over Henry Monts and Ethan Edwards.
The two teams again split singles play, with Ryan Heider, Henry Heider and Edwards providing match wins.
Players from both teams will take part in the Western Highlands Conference tournament on Tuesday at Owen.
