Ollis earns 200th career victory in Polk win over Landrum

Polk County head football coach Bruce Ollis earned the 200th win of his career Friday night in the Wolverines’ 24-0 shutout of Landrum.

Ollis is now 200-153 in his 31th season as a head coach, with 113 of those victories coming at Polk County, where he is the school’s all-time winningest coach.

“It just means I’ve coached a long time,” Ollis said after Friday’s win.

The veteran coach began his career in 1987 in Butler, Ga., where he finished 11-2 in his first year as a head coach. Ollis has won 10 or more games in a season seven times, with his best record a 12-2 mark in 2010 at Polk County.
