New coaching faces set for Polk Middle’s spring season
Polk County Middle School is gearing up for the spring athletic season with a handful of new faces on its coaching staff
Polk County Middle School is gearing up for the spring athletic season with a handful of new faces on its coaching staff.
The first action of the spring sports season at PCMS will be March 5, when the girls soccer and softball squads travel to Madison Middle. The home openers for both of those squads aren’t until March 15 while the PCMS baseball squad will begin its season on March 8 at home against Canton Middle.
Former Polk County standout Jamie Hrobak will lead the Wolverine softball squad while Kenny Hall, who played baseball at UNC Asheville, will guide the PCMS baseball program.
Katie Elliott and Markece Cunningham will lead the Polk Middle girls and boys track programs, respectively.
Travis Aldred returns as Polk Middle’s girls soccer coach while Matthew Russell will continue as the school’s golf coach.
