The end of fall sports and the pending arrival of the winter sports season makes for a busy time for Polk County Parks and Recreation.
Here is an update on sports-related activities taking place at Parks and Recreation.
The fall soccer season saw more than 250 players sign up to play. It has been an incredible season to this point, and the league is gearing up for an exciting finish.

Volleyball is back in swing, and it is looking like this is a going to be another fantastic season. A record number of girls have signed up to play, with more than 130 players across three different age groups.
Games will begin on October 16 at Stearns Gym. For full schedules, as well as all other current volleyball league information, click here.
Basketball season is right around the corner! The deadline to sign up is Friday, Oct. 27 and the evaluations for this season will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4 at Polk County Middle School.
