Carson’s big game helps propel Polk boys to win in home opener

Dominique Carson poured in 31 points Thursday to lead Polk County Middle to a 53-27 victory over Brevard Middle in a Blue Ridge Conference boys basketball clash.

Carson had 19 points in the first half to help place the Wolverines (1-1) to the win in their home opener. He added 12 points in the third period as Polk Middle pulled aay for the victory.

Dakota Twitty and Chan Barber each added six points, with Lawson Carter scoring four and Elijah Barnes, Chandler Burnett and Cole Pereira each scoring two.

The Wolverines return to action on Monday, traveling to Rugby.
