If that does indeed happen, Booker left quite an impression Tuesday in his final appearance in the Carolina League.
Booker earned Most Valuable Player honors in the Carolina League All-Star Game, homering and driving in four runs to lead the Southern Division to a 7-6 victory in Zebulon.
Booker finished the game 3-for-4, hammering a solo homer on the first pitch in the bottom of the first, then adding a single in the third, an RBI grounder in the fifth and a two-run single in the sixth.

Booker told milb.com that the MVP award meant more with his father, Clemon, in the stands.
“It’s nice, never thought it ever would have happen,” Booker said. “Glad that I was close enough that my dad got to come and see me do it, especially since I went away to play in college and he couldn’t make many of those. He comes to every one he can make now.”
Several reports around the White Sox organization have Booker, who spent the first half of the season with Winston-Salem in the Advanced A Carolina League, being promoted this week to Class AA Birmingham. The White Sox are expected to announced moves prior to the second half of the minor league season on Wednesday or Thursday.
